NATURE OF ASSIGNMENTS
Teaching
Teaching Veterinary Microbiology and Immunology to undergraduate and post graduate students. Established the erstwhile department of Veterinary Epidemiology & Preventive Medicine as one of the constituent department of DGCN COVAS CSK HPKV, Palampur. Taught Veterinary Epidemiology & Preventive Medicine and Veterinary Public Health & Epidemiology to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Research

Application of animal cell culture for chlamydial and viral diseases. Anaerobic bacterial disease diagnosis and their molecular characterization. Investigations on zoonotic pathogens, food borne infections and intoxication of public health importance. Animal disease outbreaks investigation and animal health care.

Extension

  • Health coverage to university livestock farms.

  • Resource person for delivering expert lectures to the veterinarians, para-veterinary staff, progressive farmers, unemployed youth and Ex-service men on infectious diseases of animals and poultry in different training programmes organized by the Directorate of Extension Education CSK HPKV Palampur or DGCN College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, CSK HPKV, Palampur.

  • Actively participating in organizing the Kisan Melas, Kisan Diwas, Vet Fairs etc.

  • Delivering Radio Talks for the live stock farmers.
