To plan,
execute coordinate and monitor various extension education programmes of
the University.

To supervise
and control field activities of extension specialists of various
disciplines.

To effect
close collaboration and coordinate of the extension education activities of
the University with those of concerned State Govt. and allied departments.

Formulation
and presentation of extension education programmes to Extension Council.
-
To organize
trainings to farmers, farm women, orchardists, animal keepers, school
dropouts, ex-servicemen etc on various aspects of agriculture as well as to
provide vocational training on agriculture based occupations.
-
To render
referral services in the field of soil, plant and animal health.
-
To publish farm
literature and to ensure sale/distribution of literature.
-
To organize
Kisan Mela, Kisan Diwas, Field Days and Exhibitions among the farmers and
general public.
