- The National Service Scheme (NSS) was inaugurated on September 24, 1969, under the visionary leadership of V. K. R.V. Rao, often regarded as the founding figure of NSS. The core purpose of NSS is to foster a deeper connection with the communities in which we operate, to cultivate a sense of belonging and responsibility towards the welfare of society. The National Service Scheme (NSS) at the College of Basic Science is a vibrant and active community service initiative. It is dedicated to engaging students in meaningful and impactful activities that contribute to the betterment of society. Under the NSS program at the College of Basic Science, students have the opportunity to participate in various community service projects, workshops, and outreach programs. This not only helps them develop a sense of social responsibility but also enhances their personal growth and development. The College of Basic Science's NSS program is an integral part of its commitment to creating socially conscious and responsible citizens who can make a positive difference in the world.
