The College Alumni Association of Basic Sciences (CAABS) was registered in the year 2019 vide registration no. 62/SDP dated 18.07. 2019 in the Office of the Sub Divisional Magistrate - cum - Deputy Registrar of Societies, Palampur, District- Kangra (Himachal Pradesh). The purpose of our alumni association is to foster a spirit of faithfulness, loyalty and to promote the general welfare of organization. CAABS aims to support the parent organization by strengthening the ties between alumni and the community. Alumni of this college are holding strong positions in government and private organizations in India and abroad. The association is creating positive powerful impact by these ways:

1. Support system
An engaged alumni network allows the University to benefit from the skills and experience of our graduates, thus providing a support system to the current students, to the institution and to each other. Alumni are our most loyal supporters and our best ambassadors, offering invaluable marketing and promotion across their personal and professional networks.

2. Offering expertise
Talented alumni have a wealth of experience to share with current students via talks and seminars. This practically supports the students in work placements and helps them launch their careers. CAABS alumni association is beneficial because engaged graduates are much more likely to want to “give back” to the College and University.

3. Assistance in Employability
Alumni network has a real life benefit for current students as it enhances the students’ experience and gives them competitive edge in today’s tough job market.

4. Mentorship
Alumni can play an active role in mentoring students in their areas of expertise especially when the student has to join a job in a totally new environment. Alumni get in touch with students and share their expertise and best practices in a given field.

The Aims and Objectives of the Alumni Association:
· To build a platform to foster friendship, fraternity amongst all Basic Sciences Graduates who will work for a common cause.
· To share scientific information amongst the members of the association.
· To arrange social functions/seminars/lectures/workshops/personality development camps/national integration camps etc.
· To ensure due care and respect to the vulnerable segments of the society.
· Dissemination of useful knowledge related to scientific field or cultural practices being adopted in various parts of the country.
· To promote and review the various classical and folk dances, dramas, music, arts, crafts and xylographic works.
· Any other activity subservient to the aims and objectives of the society.
· To organize or participate in course of study, research and seminars and medical camps in different locations.
· To organize a get together and related activities of Basic Science Graduates, where they can interact and share their experiences concerning their professional achievements.
