Extension Activity

  1. Expert lectures: Expert lectures are delivered time to time to the trainees and in summer schools organized by department and college.

  2. Advisory services During Kisan mela stall of the department is installed and advisory service to the farmers and students of preveterinary about the veterinary profession and live stock.

  3. Radio talks: Faculty delivering radio talks time to time for the benefit of the farmers.

  4. Short course: Department organized one short course on “Structural and functional adaptational behavior of ruminants at high altitude” from July 15-24, 1999 for the scientists of all over the country.

  5. Summer School: Department organized one summer school on “Advances in structure and function productive and reproductive behavior of animals at high altitude” Sponsored by Indian Council of Agricultural Research from September 2 -22, 2002 for the scientists of all over the country.

  6. Conferences:
    A) Department organized X National symposium of the Indian Association of Veterinary Anatomists from June 7-9, 1995
    B) Department organized X Annual Conference of Indian Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Research (IAAVR) and National Symposium on “Challenges and strategies for sustainable animal production in mountains” and Indian Veterinary Congress-“4th VETEX 2003” from 14-15 April, 2003.

  7. Preparation of museum and audio visual aids for teaching.
