1. The department is equipped with the milk quality assurance and adulteration laboratory. Rendering the services to the state consumer, farmer and dairy farms for quality assurance and adulteration of milk and milk products. 

2. The Department is having ICAR sponsored Model demonstration dairy processing unit utilizing for commercial milk and milk products processing, students and trainees training demonstrations.  

3. Apart from department’s involvement in teaching and research, the department renders consultancy services to the farmers for the Milk and milk products processing, establishment of Dairy processing unit, meat and meat products processing, poultry products processing, establishment of slaughter houses and wool processing through TV/ radio talks, telephonic and in the offices. The faculty of this department routinely delivers scientific lectures and hands on training  to the vets, para-vets, entrepreneur, progressive farmers, unemployed youth, from time to time and involves in different trainings /workshops organized by CSK H.P.K.V. Directorate of Extension Education / COVAS and other agencies.
