The Department is actively engaged in transfer of proven fish farming technology to the farmers / stakeholder in the hills, by organizing motivation camps, trainings, on farm trials and field demonstrations. As a sequel of which the following programme have been conducted:

1.     Motivation camp: 57

On campus: 22

            Off Campus: 1

3.     Radio talk: 5

4.     Expert lectures: 35

5.     Package of practices for cold water aquaculture

6.     Dissemination of technical know-how during farmers visit: provided to 2000 farmers. 

7.     Supply of fish seed; More than 2million fingerlings of common carp, grass carp and silver carp supplied to the farmers of the hill State.

8.     Publication for farmers: One book in Hindi on “Fish farming in the Hills” and two training manual on “Fish farming technology”
