Department’s Mission: We address contemporary social issues that affect the health and well-being of children, youth, adults, and families, through high-quality and innovative research, teaching, and outreach programs. The department's academic programs prepare specialists at the Bachelor's and Master levels. Faculty conduct significant research on a range of critical issues facing individuals and families in today's society. And, the department employs innovative outreach efforts that extend knowledge to community at grass root level that also include farm women.
