Mandate

1. Teaching at Under Graduate  level in Horticulture and Agroforestry and teaching of Post Graduate courses as minor courses for students of other disciplines/colleges.

2. The need based and location specific research to evolve suitable strategy for the exploitation of the promising cash crops like Pecan, Kiwi, Strawberry and stone fruits of this region.

3. To conduct location specific agroforestry research under AICRP on Agroforestry.

4. Production and distribution of quality nursery plants to farmers and Govt. agencies.

5. Training and Extension services for Hill farmers and extension functionaries of Govt. departments.
