Human Resource Development:

• Undergraduate and postgraduate education and training in agriculture and allied fields to make students professionally competent and socially sensitive; specialized trainings to promote entrepreneurial skills in unemployed youth and others.

Research:

• Research in collaboration with Directorate of Research on crop improvement, crop protection, natural resource management, and farm machinery based on system approach with special reference to hill and mountain agriculture;  socio-economic studies for policy making

Extension:

• Dissemination of farm technologies in collaboration with Directorate of Extension Education.

Specialized Services:

• Tendering referral services in soil, plant health and seed certification
