Extension activities always go hand in hand with teaching and research. Since its inception, extension oriented activities of college are organised towards improving the quality of life of rural women and farm families in the state and in the country. Keeping this in view, the college focused on dissemination of developed technologies and imparting knowledge based educational programmes/lectures and need based trainings for various segments of the population.

The faculty and research staff working under various projects of the college participate in short-term and long-term training programmes from time to time in different parts of the state.

The trainings are related to various aspects of Home Science which include:

Post-harvest food conservation and processing, preparation of low-cost  nutritious products and  weaning foods, health and hygiene, safe storage of grains, importance of balanced diet, nutritional disorders and their prevention, various types of printing techniques, fabric painting, fabric and garment embellishments, soft toy making, dyeing with natural dyes and preparation of eco-friendly Holi Gulals , macramé, handicrafts, bag making, tile decoration, glass paining, artificial flower making, soap making, bamboo articles, mat making, candle making, coasters, drudgery reducing tools, techniques and technologies, work simplification methods, toiletry kit making, paper bag making, maternal and child nutrition, promoting cost effective vocational skills, reproductive and child health, nutrition and general health education of girl child, empowerment of women on various aspects - rights, laws & other legal aspects related to marriage, divorce and child labour, self-help group formation, establishment of micro enterprises.    

The college organizes short and long-term training programmes for different categories of clients, viz. field functionaries, officers of the state department of agriculture, farmers, farm women, youth, etc.  

Information and Publications: Literature being an important part in disseminating technological information among different categories of stakeholders is being published from time to time in the form of articles in Parvatiya Khetibari and other magazines, Newspapers and as hand out and pamphlets.

Exhibition: Besides, Kisan Mela at University headquarter, the college participates and displays the work in various exhibitions and fairs at local, state and national level.

Museum: The museum of the university represents the different activities of college. Charts, samples, literature etc. are displayed for all the visitors from different sections of the society, including scientists, administrators, farmers, farm-women, students and other visitors from the state, India and abroad

The extension wing of the College closely coordinates activities with the Directorate of Extension Education of the University. Active participation is also reflected at the Agricultural Technology Information Centre (ATIC)
