Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Una (at Rampur)

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Una was sanctioned by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (No. 5-2193-KVK-AE-II, dated 20.10.1994) and was established in January 1995 under the administrative control of CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, Palampur (HP). It is located at Rampur, which is two km away from district headquarter on Una-Santoshgarh road. The laboratory-cum-office building was inaugurated on April 20, 2002 and the staff shifted to this building in May 2002. The KVK has 19.17 hectare land and its description is given below:

The KVK has following facilities:

·         Office-cum-laboratory building

·         Soil testing laboratory

·         Vermi-compost unit

·         Crop production unit

·         Poly house

·         Net house

·         Farmer hostel

·         Residences for staff (5)
