Front view of the ATIC With a view to provide latest technologies, services and various products the Agricultural Technology Information center (ATIC) started functioning near Gate No.-1 of the University on Pathankot Mandi road and 3kms from Palampur August 1998 single window system later it because operative in Nov. 2001 from its newly constructed building for the benefit of the farming community belonging to 4 zones of the state. In addition it is also providing toll free helpline Agricultural service through toll free number 1551 on all days except Sunday from 10.00 AM-5 PM. The farmers can also establish contact for assistance on office numbers 01894-230395 or o1894-283236. An overview Presently the center is functioning from the new building as a ATIC System catering to the needs of approaching farmers for different type of assistance. Since its inception it has been providing technologies in the field of agriculture, veterinary, agricultural engineering, fisheries, poultry as well as on value added products. It was sanctioned in 11.1.99 and initiated with Revolving fund of Rs. 5,00,000/- provided by ICAR. |
