  Salient Research accomplishments

Ø The agro techniques for increasing production and productivity of different crops and cropping systems have been developed.

Ø Weed management practices in different crops and cropping systems have been standardized.

Ø Technology for management of obnoxious weeds, like Lantana, Ageratum, Eupatorium in natural grasslands, roadsides and cultivable waste lands have been worked out.

Ø The technology for improvement of natural grasslands and pastures through the introduction of improved grasses and legumes has been perfected.

Ø Yield prediction/forecast models for rice and wheat have been developed.

Ø For aberrant weather conditions the contingent crop plans have been developed.

Ø  Regular updating of Farm Agro-advisory Service is being taken up.
