In the Mandi district Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sundernagar has been working with the following mandates:

·        To conduct “On-farm testing” (OFT) for identifying technologies in term of location specific sustainable land use systems.

·        To organize training to update the extension personnel with emerging advances in agricultural research on regular basis.

·        To organize short & long term training courses in agriculture and allied vocational trainings for the farmers and rural youths with emphasis on “learning by doing” for higher production on farms and generating self-employment.

·        To organize Front-line demonstration on various crops to generate production data and feed-back information.
