Extension activities

The department is actively involved in outreach activities, such as:

• Consultancy to farmers
• Disease diagnosis services at the door-step of farmer
• Radio talks on important topics of interest to farmers
• Linkages with farmers in Kisan mela, vet-fair and kisan sangosthi
• Continuing Veterinary Education (CVE) to veterinarians
• Technical/expert lectures to the farmers/livestock owners
• Demonstrations to the livestock owners
• Emergency services - attend disease outbreaks
• Toxicological analysis of samples from field cases
