The results/ interpolated maps of this report and information are solely the output of computer generated estimation through interpolation technique /method employed to prepare the GIS based maps of Himachal Pradesh at district and block scale. The soil sample data of elements were taken exclusively from the agricultural land/ cultivated land areas of H.P  only and interpolation at District scale was done. The interpolated maps are showing the entire geographical areas including all landuse/land cover / water bodies/ mountainous areas classes which are otherwise not true. The same may not be interpreted for the entire regions except cultivated land areas. This only implies for agricultural lands. The percent areas mentioned in the map of that particular class of elements interpolated from the available data points for all classes of land cover/use. The authors assume no responsibility for any predicament in this map based record nor for any actions taken in reliance thereon, though criticism on approach and/or methodology is welcome. The authors strongly recommend that these interpolated maps estimates of nutrients from agricultural land area at any point need to be thoroughly verified before implementation. Although, the authors have taken all care to verify the procedure adopted to make the map based estimates, but would strongly recommend its verification preferably. The percent area shown in map for different category of element classis from entire geographical area and not  of particular land class

The soil sample collected by Department of Agriculture official and analysed data of soil elements were further supplied by the Department of Soil Science CSKHPKV, Palampur, H.P. Location data from GPS is subject to accuracy obtained in ground during collections. There might be an inherent shift on the location of points recorded on ground and the points imported in the GIS software. All district and block boundaries displayed in output maps are indicative. 

The interpolated maps of elements should be used as reference.
