Teaching of B.V.Sc. & A.H. students as per VCI regulations; Teaching of M.V.Sc. students as per ICAR; Exploration and validation of potential  local herbs of Himachal Pradesh against several ailments; Disease investigation and consultation services to the livestock and poultry farmers visiting the Department; Organizing continuing Veterinary Education (CVE) programs/training programmes/workshops/refresher courses  for Veterinary Officers; Animal disease investigation through necropsy examinations and reporting; Participation of the departmental faculty as co-coordinators/resource persons in organizing trainings for farmers and livestock owners; Diagnostic support to Veterinary Clinics, Veterinary Hospitals, Government Livestock and Poultry Farms, Zoos etc; Attending to disease outbreaks in different parts of H.P.
