Admission standards:
Admission of the students in the Veterinary College is executed by the
Registrar through Combined Entrance Test conducted by the University which
conforms the VCI norms. 15 per cent seats are reserved for VCI which are also
filled on All India Entrance Test conducted by the VCI.
Data on attrition and retention:
The undergraduate students usually do not drop out of course during the study
period unless one fails for five times in whole of the degree programme. At the initial stage, some students may get
admissions in other professional course i.e. Medicine. The retention rate is,
therefore, reasonably high. The postgraduate students, however, generally leave
in order to join State Veterinary Services because of better pay package and
good service conditions.
