have any provision for admissions to wards of NRI (Non
resident Indian)
Yes. 2 seats
have been approved for the wards of Non resident
Indians (NRI) in Under graduate program of B.V.Sc
& AH and 2 for foreign nationals.
Q.2 Who are
eligible for NRI seats?
Only the
wards of Non resident Indians are eligible.
Q.3 Do
wards of NRI need to sit in entrance test?
No. No. They
have to apply directly through their embassy
Q.4 What is
the fee structure for NRI wards?
Mentioned in
the prospectus uploaded on the university web site every year.
Q.5: When
does the academic session start in the college?
Academic
session normally starts in October and admissions are made by the end of
September, post covid.
Q.6: What is
the criteria of selection in the college?
Selection
for admission to B.V.Sc & AH is made based on
NEET score conducted by National testing Agency- New Delhi. Students passing
10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible. Applications
are invited online through www.hillagric.ac.in
during the month of May-June for candidate
registration with a fixed time line. Thereafter, the portal is opened
again for the registered candidates to fill in their NEET score.

outsiders apply?
Yes. Few
seats in Self finance category are available for students both with in and outside Himachal Pradesh.

the duration of B.V.Sc & AH program?
It is of 5
years 6 Months duration spread over 9 semesters of 6 months duration followed
by 12 months compulsory internship program.

Whether Hostel facility is available?
Whole of the
university is fully residential and Hostel facility is available with
cooperative mess run by the students.
Q.12: How
can I reach Palampur?
Palampur is
well connected by road, rail and air transport. Nearest Airport is 40 KM
from main campus at Gaggal by the name Dharamshala
and regular flight is run on daily basis by Spice Jet, Indigo and Alliance Air.
Nearest broad gauge rail head is 110 KM at Pathankot and Una where as Narrow rail gauge station is at Palampur.
Overnight Volvo Bus service is available from ISBT Delhi and Chandigarh.
Q.14: What
is the climate of Palampur?
Palampur is
located in Kangra valley at a height of more then 3600 feet above sea level with the back ground of Dhauladhar snow mountain ranges. It falls in temperate zone
where the maximum day temperature during summer for short duration does not
exceed 37 degrees where as the minimum day temperature
hovers around 1 to 4 degree during extreme winters.
