Who Are we
Veterinary Clinics was created in the year 1986 as a component of College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences by the then Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. G. C. Negi, with a vision to cater veterinary education and research for scaling up of livestock health and production in the State of Himachal Pradesh. As an independent department, Department of Veterinary Clinical Complex (formerly known as Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex) was created on 16th May 2013. The department functions in the premises of “Advanced Veterinary Multispeciality Centre” of DGCN COVAS. The intent of treating the animals is accomplished with co-ordination and extension of services from different departments’ viz. Veterinary – Gynaecology, Surgery and Medicine involved in diagnosis and treatment of animals. Few other preclinical departments such as Veterinary – Microbiology, Pathology and Parasitology also play an important role in providing diagnostic expertise.

- 24X 7 services by specialists, majority of which super-specialize in different body system ailments and species of animals.
- A Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory providing diagnostic services by evaluating different biological specimens of animals.
- Generation of clinically competent human resource to serve the society.
- Public outreach in form of periodic clinical camps.
- Conducing farmer’s need based research activities.
