  Salient Research accomplishments

 

The agro techniques for increasing production and productivity of different crops and cropping systems have been developed.

Weed management practices in different crops and cropping systems have been standardized.

Technology for management of obnoxious weeds, like Lantana, Ageratum, Eupatorium in natural grasslands, roadsides and cultivable waste lands have been worked out.

The technology for improvement of natural grasslands and pastures through the introduction of improved grasses and legumes has been perfected.

Yield prediction/forecast models for rice and wheat have been developed.

For aberrant weather conditions the contingent crop plans have been developed.

  Regular updating of Farm Agro-advisory Service is being taken up.
