College of Agriculture wins Running Trophy in Inter-college sports competitions at CSKHPAU


College of Agriculture was declared overall champion and Dr GC Negi College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences remained runners-up in Inter-college sports competitions which concluded at CSK Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University on 3 Septenber.

Professor Ashok Kumar Sarial, Vice-Chancellor, while awarding running trophies to the winners and runners-up colleges congratulated all the players for showing sportsmen spirit during the six days sports programme. He said that sports were an essential part of academic programme which allow students to show their worth in different games. Sports were also important for holistic development of personality and his university has created a massive infrastructure in the sports complex for the benefit of students.

Dr.Kamlesh Singh, Students' Welfare Officer, informed that in six days programme, thirty-three matches were played comprising more than four hundred thirty students from four constituent colleges. Twelve boys and twelve girls teams took part in Basket- ball, Badminton, Volleyball, Table tennis, Power-lifting and chess matches.
